00:00:00 Justin Winstead
Well, hello and welcome back to the improver and network podcast.
00:00:03 Justin Winstead
Justin and Kinzie are back with you for episode 2.
00:00:07 Kinzie Harvell
That's right, we're sweating it out here in Texas.
00:00:10 Justin Winstead
Yeah, the summer heat is bearing down on us and but we're trying to stay cool in the AC and getting ready for another great conversation.
00:00:17 Justin Winstead
Today is we help all of our improvers improve out there.
00:00:21 Justin Winstead
So really excited about the topic that we're going to be bringing up today.
00:00:26 Justin Winstead
'cause we're really going to unfold.
00:00:27 Justin Winstead
Last time we talked about what an improver.
00:00:30 Justin Winstead
Is and how to think about improving their attitudes and their struggles.
00:00:33 Justin Winstead
What are the pros and cons of having that mindset of an improver?
00:00:38 Justin Winstead
We're going to have a three part series over the next few weeks.
00:00:41 Justin Winstead
We're really going to be looking at.
00:00:42 Justin Winstead
Well, how does a person really improve optimally?
00:00:45 Justin Winstead
How can they improve in a healthy way?
00:00:48 Justin Winstead
'cause as we discussed last week, sometimes improvers?
00:00:51 Justin Winstead
They can try to make things better, end up making it worse if it's not done in the right way, or if it's scattered or if they don't have direction.
00:00:58 Justin Winstead
So what we're here to do today is to.
00:01:00 Justin Winstead
Try to start laying the foundation for some direction.
00:01:03 Justin Winstead
For those people like OK, I am an improver, that's me and I want to get better, but I want to do it the right way and where do I focus?
00:01:08 Kinzie Harvell
Right?
00:01:09 Kinzie Harvell
Where do I start?
00:01:10 Kinzie Harvell
Maybe you don't know that you are an improver, and so we're hoping to tap into that energy and and help you see what you can focus on.
00:01:16 Kinzie Harvell
To become more productive, yeah, absolutely.
00:01:20 Justin Winstead
And really, these topics that we're going to be discussing, I think, apply to pretty much anybody who just wants to grow or make progress or be better.
00:01:28 Justin Winstead
In any situation.
00:01:29 Kinzie Harvell
And everybody should want to grow healthy things grow.
00:01:33 Justin Winstead
Yep, especially for the believers out there and the improver network mission is to help believers improve the way they live, learn, work and play, and so we'll be looking at how to apply this in all of those areas.
00:01:44 Justin Winstead
So the topics that we're going to be discussing over these next three episodes are going to be content, community and coaching.
00:01:52 Justin Winstead
And while those.
00:01:52 Justin Winstead
Are important to improve and to.
00:01:54 Justin Winstead
Make progress so in this episode today we're really going to be diving into that first layer on that, and that is the layer of content.
00:02:01 Kinzie Harvell
So what do you mean by content?
00:02:02 Justin Winstead
Yeah, that's that's a broad word out there and it is kind of confusing 'cause content is just what is held in something or it's just the details in something.
00:02:10 Justin Winstead
But this idea of content, the way we're using it is we're kind of insinuating positive, helpful, encouraging educational.
00:02:19 Justin Winstead
Content part of the way of thinking about content is the opposite of content.
00:02:23 Justin Winstead
So if you don't have good content in the life of an improver then that means you're left to your own thoughts that.
00:02:30 Kinzie Harvell
Lord, help us if that's all we have.
00:02:32 Justin Winstead
You know last time we talked about that inner critic right?
00:02:35 Justin Winstead
That inner voice that that thing that just sabotages us and and just the impostor syndrome that drags us down.
00:02:41 Justin Winstead
And if we don't have the right kind of content, that's something that surfaces up is we get into our own head, and it's not good.
00:02:48 Justin Winstead
Or when we talk about content to, some people have bad content.
00:02:51 Justin Winstead
And so they are listening to the wrong people getting information from the wrong places.
00:02:55 Justin Winstead
And that's actually hindering.
00:02:57 Justin Winstead
I mean.
00:02:58 Justin Winstead
Their ability to be better so.
00:03:00 Kinzie Harvell
Right and then their wheels spinning their tires.
00:03:04 Justin Winstead
So we're really going to challenge all of our listeners out there to think about the types of things that you're allowing into your mind and the types of content that you're surrounding yourselves with, because you really want educational, encouraging, and enlightening content.
00:03:20 Kinzie Harvell
And we are doing things that the good Southern way.
00:03:23 Kinzie Harvell
We've got three season as just some.
00:03:26 Kinzie Harvell
Just use three ES education enlightenment so you can follow along easily.
00:03:31 Justin Winstead
Absolutely well, hey, what I want to look at now is there was a study done by the Mayo Clinic and they really listed out this idea of like the way you think and what you put in in your mind and the types of effects that that actually has on your life.
00:03:45 Justin Winstead
And so they made a list of some of the benefits of positive thinking, and I thought this was really neat.
00:03:51 Justin Winstead
This is why it matters 'cause part of it is like why do I care about the content?
00:03:54 Justin Winstead
Or why do I care about, you know, improving the way I think well.
00:03:59 Justin Winstead
One is going to help you improve and make progress in the areas that matter to you, but also there are these other effects, so some of the health benefits include increased lifespan, lower rates of depression, lower levels of distress, and pain, greater resistance to illnesses.
00:04:14 Justin Winstead
You not find that very fascinating that people who are generally optimistic.
00:04:18 Justin Winstead
And think positively.
00:04:20 Justin Winstead
Actually have stronger immune systems.
00:04:21 Kinzie Harvell
Well, it's that idea of the self fulfilling prophecy, right?
00:04:24 Kinzie Harvell
You can just think yourself into being sick and make yourself sick over something either from worrying or telling yourself the worst.
00:04:31 Kinzie Harvell
What if scenario?
00:04:32 Justin Winstead
Well, so I know here.
00:04:33 Justin Winstead
Do you think that?
00:04:34 Justin Winstead
People who have greater immune systems are just more likely to be positive because they're not sick as often.
00:04:40 Justin Winstead
Or do you think it's actually the positive outlook and the positive thinking that leads to them employing habits?
00:04:47 Kinzie Harvell
So I have a theory and I've discussed this with your wife.
00:04:48 Justin Winstead
OK.
00:04:53 Kinzie Harvell
In in our home there's hardly ever a sick day and I I really think that's because a lot of times when my children wake up we set a tone for, uh.
00:05:00 Kinzie Harvell
Relative, you know, day and so we are taking our supplements and we are doing all the the right healthy things.
00:05:06 Kinzie Harvell
But really, if my kids are feeling sick a lot of times, if they say I don't feel good, there's some underlying mood.
00:05:12 Kinzie Harvell
And once you find that out, it really does affect your health.
00:05:15 Kinzie Harvell
And so Catherine and I have noticed our kids are really not as sick, maybe as much as others.
00:05:20 Kinzie Harvell
I don't know if that's a mindset.
00:05:21 Kinzie Harvell
Saying if that's our lifestyle.
00:05:23 Kinzie Harvell
But I know for myself as well.
00:05:26 Kinzie Harvell
I have made myself sick over just worrying in the in the what ifs so.
00:05:32 Justin Winstead
And the anxiety and the negative thoughts, which is part of this Mayo Clinic.
00:05:35 Kinzie Harvell
Yeah, but I also don't want to dismiss that there are right.
00:05:35 Justin Winstead
An article here and what they were referencing.
00:05:40 Kinzie Harvell
There are health issues, but you're thinking.
00:05:42 Kinzie Harvell
I mean, it really is connected to your.
00:05:43 Kinzie Harvell
Your body is all connected for a reason, so you.
00:05:46 Justin Winstead
And usually one thing leads to the next right?
00:05:46 Kinzie Harvell
Can't disconnect that.
00:05:48 Justin Winstead
So if you start out with a positive mindset, you maybe make better health decisions which lead to a stronger immune system.
00:05:55 Justin Winstead
And now, because you have a stronger immune system, you're not getting sick as often, and now that you're not getting sick as often, it leads to more positive choices and so.
00:06:03 Kinzie Harvell
Or as we just talked about, you're not magnifying what is wrong right with you, so some people tend to just play on their ailments a lot more than others.
00:06:14 Kinzie Harvell
You can look right past it.
00:06:15 Justin Winstead
Because the negative of this idea can also come into play where you make negative health choices that lead to being sick, which lead to more negative health choices because you're like, man, I just feel so bad.
00:06:27 Justin Winstead
I just I'm not motivated to go work out.
00:06:29 Justin Winstead
And so you don't work out and you decrease your strength.
00:06:32 Justin Winstead
And because you're weaker, you're more susceptible.
00:06:34 Justin Winstead
And so these things build on each other, yeah, but I, I just think it's so neat that Mayo Clinic has, you know, drawn this connection between the greater resistance to illnesses and positive thinking on their.
00:06:36 Kinzie Harvell
They compound on one another for sure.
00:06:46 Justin Winstead
They also reference, uh, reduce risk of death from cancer.
00:06:50 Justin Winstead
Better cardiovascular health.
00:06:52 Justin Winstead
Reduced risk of death from respiratory conditions or other infections, and they also have better coping skills, and so all of these are really great benefits to positive thinking and how it affects.
00:07:04 Justin Winstead
Your health and so really for our body and for our livelihoods and our lifestyles, it really is helpful for us to make sure that we're thinking the right way.
00:07:14 Kinzie Harvell
Right?
00:07:15 Justin Winstead
But then the question is how do we make sure we're thinking the right?
00:07:17 Kinzie Harvell
Way right?
00:07:18 Kinzie Harvell
What do we compare it to?
00:07:19 Kinzie Harvell
What do we hold up as truth and is right?
00:07:22 Justin Winstead
Yeah, and that's why good content and the right kind of content is so important 'cause it will shape.
00:07:27 Justin Winstead
Our thinking in that and so part of what you want to do is be able to identify negative thinking, and then when you can identify negative thinking, you can think about well where is the source of that.
00:07:37 Justin Winstead
Where did that come from?
00:07:38 Justin Winstead
And so some of the examples of negative self talk and that inner critic when it starts get getting loud as it would be this the blaming when you notice internally.
00:07:48 Justin Winstead
You just really start shifting the blame.
00:07:51 Justin Winstead
Then there should be some alarm bells going on like oh, you know what?
00:07:54 Justin Winstead
This is negative self talk.
00:07:56 Justin Winstead
We're familiar with that book.
00:07:57 Justin Winstead
QBQ, right, yeah?
00:07:59 Kinzie Harvell
I love it.
00:07:59 Kinzie Harvell
It's a quick, easy.
00:08:00 Kinzie Harvell
Read you go through several chapters in one sitting.
00:08:03 Justin Winstead
Absolutely, and one of my favorite parts about that book is just the take responsibility in it and that's it's eliminate the blame shifting.
00:08:12 Justin Winstead
But you know, sometimes us improvers we can be kind of good at shifting the blame because we think, no, I've already thought through it.
00:08:18 Justin Winstead
My way is the best way, and if it didn't work it, there's no way it was a reflection of me.
00:08:22 Kinzie Harvell
It's not gonna work, yeah?
00:08:23 Justin Winstead
Right?
00:08:23 Justin Winstead
'cause 'cause?
00:08:24 Justin Winstead
I definitely did it the right way.
00:08:25 Kinzie Harvell
I gave it 150%.
00:08:28 Kinzie Harvell
Go ahead try.
00:08:29 Kinzie Harvell
You'll never match.
00:08:29 Kinzie Harvell
You're up.
00:08:30 Justin Winstead
You know another way of saying this is some people try to justify their actions and you know in our home we call it justifying it so.
No chest.
00:08:38 Justin Winstead
So don't justify or justify your actions out there.
00:08:43 Justin Winstead
Accept responsibility, but when you hear those blame games being perpetuated in your mind, you can recognize that as negative self talk.
00:08:51 Justin Winstead
Also, things like magnifying so we go from justifying to magnifying and when you think of magnifying, that's making what's the phrase?
00:08:59 Justin Winstead
Make it a mountain out of a molehill.
00:09:00 Kinzie Harvell
No yeah yes.
00:09:01 Justin Winstead
There you go, you know just really blowing something up out of proportions.
00:09:05 Justin Winstead
I know that we've both seen this and we have kids, right?
00:09:08 Justin Winstead
So what?
00:09:09 Kinzie Harvell
I was just going to say for myself when I'm hungry, everything is harder and you know, or when you're tired you you tend to do that as well.
00:09:16 Justin Winstead
Yeah, and so little things like someone showing up late for something or a delivery.
00:09:20 Justin Winstead
Not being on time or the Wi-Fi is not working.
00:09:23 Justin Winstead
Man, it all seems so much bigger whenever you're dealing with stressful situations and you've got that negative self talk on there.
00:09:32 Justin Winstead
One of the things they referenced that I thought was really interesting too about negative self talk, was saying you should do something.
00:09:38 Kinzie Harvell
Side not.
00:09:39 Justin Winstead
'cause to me you should like.
00:09:41 Justin Winstead
That's not necessarily a negative thing, but they were saying that is negative self talk.
00:09:46 Justin Winstead
So what triggers with you when you see that they're associated?
00:09:49 Justin Winstead
Associating that with negative self talk?
00:09:51 Justin Winstead
'cause improvers?
00:09:52 Justin Winstead
Live in the world of I ought to do this.
00:09:54 Justin Winstead
I should do this.
00:09:55 Justin Winstead
This is the ideals that we're always striving for.
00:09:58 Justin Winstead
So how is it negative?
00:10:00 Justin Winstead
Self taught thing that you should.
00:10:02 Kinzie Harvell
I think it doesn't allow for flexibility or different personality types, it doesn't.
00:10:07 Kinzie Harvell
If you're telling somebody you should do something, it's almost as if you've got it figured out and you're you're the expert on on everything.
00:10:14 Kinzie Harvell
So like it says saying you should do something you think of all the things you think you should do, and then you blame yourself for not doing them accordingly.
00:10:22 Kinzie Harvell
So you're just setting yourself up for failure or others up for failure when you should them absolutely.
00:10:28 Justin Winstead
That's exactly right and.
00:10:30 Justin Winstead
Part of that is is we were talking about blaming others and that goes in with the judgment.
00:10:35 Justin Winstead
But the flip side of that is is when we put all the shame on ourselves and it really that goes into guilt and so really guilt and judgment or two things that can really impede you know our mental Wellness there.
00:10:48 Kinzie Harvell
When we're when we're talking about negative content.
00:10:51 Kinzie Harvell
You know the the holy the difference between when the Holy Spirit speaks to you is that that's a conviction to turn and do what's right state and a lot of times when he's speaking negatively to you.
00:11:03 Kinzie Harvell
It has a lot more to do with shame, and so that's a really good way to different differentiate between the two.
00:11:09 Justin Winstead
Yeah, absolutely, and since you you mentioned that again.
00:11:12 Justin Winstead
For the believers out there when we think about content content is less about just trying to will yourself into more positive thinking and to try to force yourself to be an optimist.
00:11:22 Justin Winstead
That's not really what we're getting at here.
00:11:24 Justin Winstead
Is like you always have to go around all sunshine and roses because that's not the way.
00:11:29 Justin Winstead
That's not the way life is, but what we're really trying to say is you've got to take every thought captive, and you have to put good things into your mind.
00:11:37 Justin Winstead
And so for us, you mentioned the Holy Spirit. Part of that is the fact that we have God's spirit in us, and we let his voice speak to us in it. But it also involves going to his word.
00:11:48 Justin Winstead
You know and filling our mind and heart with those thoughts.
00:11:51 Justin Winstead
It also involves getting wise counsel and surrounding ourselves with people who can also.
00:11:56 Justin Winstead
Speak life into our lives and so those are all ways that we can fill ourselves up with our faith.
00:12:03 Justin Winstead
Based you know content and truth.
00:12:05 Kinzie Harvell
It's really about what you're giving permission to be in your life.
00:12:09 Kinzie Harvell
What radio stations you're allowing to to come to wash over you in the car?
00:12:14 Kinzie Harvell
What podcasts you're listening to, what books you're choosing, what tone you're setting for your household.
00:12:19 Justin Winstead
Absolutely, and so there are.
00:12:22 Justin Winstead
Those are some ways specifically for Christians, but really, for anyone that is saying you know what I do, want to have more more positive outlook?
00:12:29 Justin Winstead
I want to generate more positive thinking and my own minds silence that inner critic.
00:12:35 Justin Winstead
Some of these other things that they can do to to help in that area would be to be open to humor, and you know that's that's a struggle.
00:12:43 Justin Winstead
You know, a lot of people.
00:12:43 Justin Winstead
It's really sad, but they spend the majority there.
00:12:45 Justin Winstead
We never laughing or never actually having something that they can that they can smile at or really enjoy from a humor perspective.
00:12:54 Justin Winstead
I know that your husband is quite, uh, humorous at times and.
00:12:58 Kinzie Harvell
And that's one of the things I I love about him.
00:13:01 Kinzie Harvell
He can turn any situation into a joke or an inside joke with us and I really appreciate that when I.
00:13:07 Kinzie Harvell
Getting way too serious or focusing on the on the minor details.
00:13:11 Justin Winstead
Yeah, you really got to learn to laugh at some of the life problems, right?
00:13:11 Kinzie Harvell
I think we all.
Need this yeah.
00:13:14 Justin Winstead
It actually brings down the stress and again, you know, magnifying was one of those negative self taught things.
00:13:20 Justin Winstead
Well, when you make humor out of it, it's that's the opposite.
00:13:22 Justin Winstead
You're minimizing it.
00:13:23 Justin Winstead
You're saying you know what this is.
00:13:25 Justin Winstead
OK, I can laugh at this.
00:13:26 Justin Winstead
It's going to be.
00:13:27 Justin Winstead
All right so.
00:13:28 Kinzie Harvell
And not.
00:13:29 Kinzie Harvell
In a year to be able to laugh at it, but to find something in the moment that's comical, yeah.
00:13:34 Justin Winstead
Another positive step that you could take is to identify an area of change, and again trying to identify where where is that negative self talk coming from.
00:13:43 Justin Winstead
Is it that you've got another podcast, or is it something that you're reading online?
00:13:48 Justin Winstead
Do you have some people on social media that you're following that is, that is really magnifying that negative voice.
00:13:56 Justin Winstead
In your life and you need to identify that and say what do I need to do to change that?
00:14:00 Justin Winstead
Sometimes people need to change the situations they find themselves in with people or places, but also their enter.
00:14:07 Justin Winstead
Tainment right, you know?
00:14:08 Justin Winstead
I know a lot of us feel like, well, I'm an adult I can watch and listen to what I want to watch and listen to has zero impact on the way I live my life.
00:14:15 Justin Winstead
And I think there is some truth to that.
00:14:17 Justin Winstead
Probably you could watch an episode or something, or you can see things here in there and it doesn't change.
00:14:22 Justin Winstead
But what we know is over time.
00:14:24 Justin Winstead
What goes into your mind influences what.
00:14:27 Justin Winstead
Comes out and so being able to identify certain areas of lightmen.
00:14:31 Justin Winstead
Maybe this entertainment choice I'm making or this person I'm following or letting influence me is actually putting some of these negative voices in my head.
00:14:39 Justin Winstead
You know people have done research on the media and if you listen to too much of the news out there, you know.
00:14:44 Justin Winstead
So that that can affect you, know your positivity.
00:14:48 Kinzie Harvell
And and just putting boundaries on things I.
00:14:51 Kinzie Harvell
We don't watch the news, but I I've downloaded an app that just gives me the top three three news stories of the day, and that's what I listen to and move on with.
00:14:59 Kinzie Harvell
But you did mention you know relationships and sometimes.
00:15:03 Kinzie Harvell
Uhm, there will be people in your life that you you have to put up healthy boundaries with.
00:15:08 Kinzie Harvell
It's what do they say?
00:15:09 Kinzie Harvell
It's easier for them to pull you down then for you to pull them up, 'cause while we all want to be good influences.
00:15:12 Justin Winstead
Right?
00:15:14 Kinzie Harvell
A lot of times the people we surround ourselves with is who we begin to act like and think like, and so you just always have to keep in the back of your mind if they're not pulling you up.
00:15:22 Kinzie Harvell
They're probably pulling you down.
00:15:24 Justin Winstead
Yeah, it's always interesting you get the person who wants to encourage and lift up the others, but they go into their circle where they end up.
00:15:31 Justin Winstead
Everybody is pulling down on them and what should happen is you've got your.
00:15:34 Justin Winstead
Good circle where you're trying to reach out to them and bring them into it and pull them up.
00:15:39 Justin Winstead
In that, but yeah, it does take that grew and that kind of goes in with another tip which is to surround yourself with positive people.
00:15:46 Justin Winstead
And so a lot of times when I ask people like man, your attitude is so great, how are you always happy?
00:15:51 Justin Winstead
What is you're always smiling?
00:15:53 Justin Winstead
What you find out is they've got people in their life who encourage that and affirm that and it lift that.
00:15:59 Justin Winstead
And so some people have a negative outlook and a negative voice in their head because all the people that are around them.
00:16:07 Justin Winstead
That's what they are, right?
00:16:08 Kinzie Harvell
Right?
00:16:09 Justin Winstead
Yeah, you you get around the naysayers and you become a naysayer yourself.
00:16:12 Justin Winstead
What's that?
00:16:13 Justin Winstead
Birds of a feather flock together, right?
00:16:16 Justin Winstead
Yeah, and then a practice positive, self talk and so part of that voice that's in your head is that you actually have to direct that.
00:16:24 Justin Winstead
And we do have control over that voice, and we can remind ourselves and teach ourselves certain ways of thinking more accurately about the world.
00:16:32 Justin Winstead
We can choose to speak truth into our own mind, and sometimes that's a weird thing.
00:16:36 Justin Winstead
Because I'm not speaking to our self right, I'm not going schizophrenic here.
00:16:40 Justin Winstead
But, you know we are saying, hey, there's this inner battle that goes on and sometimes our mind and heart are at war against each other and sometimes we need to just speak to it and say, you know what?
00:16:50 Justin Winstead
This isn't right or this is right and we have to channel it.
00:16:54 Kinzie Harvell
And as parents you you get this you would never say to your children.
00:16:58 Kinzie Harvell
You would never point out all their flaws.
00:17:00 Kinzie Harvell
You would tend to encourage them and build them up and draw out their strengths and so why wouldn't you do that for yourself as well?
00:17:08 Justin Winstead
So I think those are some very practical ways that we can encourage more positive thinking in it.
00:17:14 Justin Winstead
You know, a lot of this is dealing with motivation.
00:17:16 Justin Winstead
Zig Ziglar was so big on, you know the self talk.
00:17:20 Justin Winstead
I mean he even would have cards and encourage people to read those cards every single day.
00:17:24 Justin Winstead
Look in the mirror, repeat the certain truths that you know to be true.
00:17:28 Justin Winstead
True, and as you, you do that your mind ends up learning that in internalizing those things, and if you're not familiar with some of Zeke's teaching on that, I would encourage people to go out and and research that because it did make a difference.
00:17:41 Justin Winstead
Now you got made fun of a little bit by some people 'cause they said hey, that motivation stuff doesn't last and he said, yeah, you know that's true, but neither does.
00:17:48 Justin Winstead
OK, then that's why we recommended often right?
00:17:51 Justin Winstead
And so part of what we would say is the same thing on content is you gotta have good content.
00:17:56 Justin Winstead
It's often that you are engaging in that you are choosing to implement into your life, and that you're choosing to take time to read.
00:18:04 Justin Winstead
Take time to listen to things that are going to encourage you.
00:18:07 Justin Winstead
Take time to look at things that are going to push you towards your goals.
00:18:10 Justin Winstead
You know, people have hopes and dreams and ambitions that they want to reach towards.
00:18:14 Justin Winstead
But then the things that they're.
00:18:16 Justin Winstead
Engaging in and putting into their mind or or actually counterproductive to that so well, I think that's very helpful.
00:18:23 Justin Winstead
And really, this is more of an encouragement and a reminder.
00:18:25 Justin Winstead
I think most people out there listener going OK.
00:18:27 Justin Winstead
I think I already knew that like content is good, but we really wanted to highlight this and really discuss it 'cause we want to reinforce.
00:18:35 Justin Winstead
That people may need to do a evaluation of their life and see if they need new content to go in there.
00:18:42 Justin Winstead
And we also wanted to share this because this is part of what we're doing at the improver network, right?
00:18:46 Justin Winstead
We're saying that we exist to help people in this battle of the mind and to help improve your your way of thinking and so part of the way we do that is.
00:18:55 Justin Winstead
Through content so that content.
00:18:59 Justin Winstead
What are some things that you know about the improver network and how we deliver that content to people?
00:19:04 Kinzie Harvell
My favorite way is through this podcast, obviously, and for those of you who don't know, some of these are open for the for everybody to hear, but there will be some that you'll have to join in on the membership to hear, and that's where we're going to take a deep dive into what is exactly content.
00:19:21 Kinzie Harvell
What is community, and so those will be coming up.
00:19:24 Kinzie Harvell
So make sure you join to hear the rest of these.
00:19:27 Kinzie Harvell
Also, after every podcast you can find links to some of the resources that we're referring to, and that'll be a great way to get your head in on some of the books that we're referencing in some of the articles, and then another fun way is through our book club.
00:19:44 Kinzie Harvell
And we'll be.
00:19:45 Kinzie Harvell
We'll be reading all different kinds of books for all different interest levels.
00:19:49 Kinzie Harvell
And then we'll be discussing those and really pulling out things that we can apply to our lives and practical tips and all of that is going to be great content.
00:19:57 Justin Winstead
Yeah, and so no matter what your schedule is in life, if you are the type that man I like to go to the gym.
00:20:03 Justin Winstead
Let's do a podcast.
00:20:04 Justin Winstead
We can deliver content.
00:20:06 Justin Winstead
To you, that way, if you're more like man, I prefer the written book and be able to make notes and dog ear pages, and then discuss that with people.
00:20:06 Kinzie Harvell
OK.
00:20:12 Justin Winstead
We're going to have that option.
00:20:13 Justin Winstead
Somebody out there love like online self guided courses and we've got those in many classes available through our membership portal where people can go online.
00:20:21 Kinzie Harvell
We're hitting it all.
00:20:22 Justin Winstead
We're hitting it all.
00:20:22 Justin Winstead
We basically, if you're like man, I just want access to the information.
00:20:26 Justin Winstead
And I've got the time and the ability to read that to take that in and then to apply that.
00:20:32 Justin Winstead
Then we're going to make that available to you, and it's something that you know there's unlimited availability to what we have in this area, and so we just want to invite you to connect with us.
00:20:42 Justin Winstead
On the improver network, as one of our fans level members and get access to all this content, 'cause in our mind this is just going to really help you to grow, it's going to help you to improve and that's what we're building.
00:20:53 Justin Winstead
We're building a network of improvers, and so we know if you're getting the right content.
00:20:57 Justin Winstead
You're putting the right things in your mind.
00:20:59 Justin Winstead
It's going to change everything else absolutely.
00:21:01 Justin Winstead
So where do we start?
00:21:03 Justin Winstead
Yeah, so if you wanted to do that you would just go online to improver network that's www.improvernetwork, just Scroll down towards the bottom of that page and check out the membership options and again that base level of membership is going to get you in.
00:21:16 Justin Winstead
To all of our content and as one last little encouragement to you on this, I want you to think about the fact that you may want your life to be different today than what it has been maybe over the past year or the past several years.
00:21:29 Justin Winstead
So you're saying you know what I want things to be better?
00:21:31 Justin Winstead
Well, if you want things to be better, the only way they're going to be better is if you change your habits and the only way your habits.
00:21:37 Justin Winstead
Change is if you change your actions and your actions are the results of your attitudes, which are the result of your thought.
00:21:43 Justin Winstead
Thoughts and your thoughts are formed by what you put into your mind.
00:21:47 Justin Winstead
So if you really want to change your life, you have to change your thoughts because by changing them and putting the right content in, you're going to develop the right attitudes which lead to the right actions which lead to the right habits and habits always lead to the results and so that's really why.
00:22:03 Justin Winstead
So important to have this content so you want to change your life, change the content you're putting in and the improver network is here to help you with that, and this is going to wrap up part one of this three part series and we look forward to seeing you on the next episode.
00:22:15 Kinzie Harvell
See you later.
